Adverts are mostly brief intrusions in our day; but sometimes they offer a short commentary on our shared lives. Every now and then an ad comes along that holds up to scrutiny the way we act, the way we see the world around us, the way we think about each other. It got me thinking: are there phrases that we use in churches that need the same critique?
