I have always been the difficult team member who insists on asking the ‘why?’ question in planning meetings.
“Why are we doing it this way?”
“Why is this format the best option?”
It is most often perceived, I think, as hyper-critical or as an attempt to chase change for ‘change-sake’. But I can answer with clear conscience that the question comes from a deep desire to be sure that the things we ‘do’ as the gathered faithful are designed with the purpose in mind.
