Kent Youth Opportunity Fund is back!

I received this info from Kent Youth Service yesterday:

Kent County Council - Putting Kent First

Funding for the Youth Opportunity Fund has been confirmed for the next financial year. £600,000 will be given out to young people led projects as part of this funding for ‘places to go, things to do’ over the coming year. The Youth Participation Team are currently working with a group of young people who have previously been involved in the decision making in making some changes to the application process & making them even easier for young people to complete! If you have any feedback on the application process then please let me know by Friday 25th March. The forms will then be distributed on email and available online by the April 1st. The deadlines for receiving YOF applications will be on Friday 13th May and Friday 25th October. We are now looking for any new young people who would like to be involved in the decision making this year & the Participation Team will be holding training events across the county on:

Tuesday 3rd May 6.30pm – 9.30pm at Concorde Youth Centre

Wednesday 4th May 6pm – 9pm at Swanley Youth Centre

Thursday 5th May 6.30pm – 9.30pm at Ashford North YC

Thursday 12th May 6pm – 9pm Mascalls Youth Centre

If you know any young people who are interested then please let claire.trainor@kent.gov.uk  know as soon as possible.
